The Premier League ticket sale process varies from club to club. Most clubs supply their own tickets, but some use Ticketmaster as their primary seller. Some clubs put big batches of fixtures on sale – or perhaps even the entire season – all at once, while many will make tickets available on a match-by-match basis, approximately a month prior to the game taking place.
To purchase tickets for league matches directly, many Premier League clubs require a paid membership; it’s somewhat rare for a game to go on general sale, particularly one involving 2 top sides.
Most clubs use different ticket categories that correspond to different areas of their stadium while some simply break theirs up into the different stands available, and larger stadiums may also have multiple tiers, but most tickets will boil down to the following options:
- End – located behind the goal and usually the most affordable on offer with prices around £25-45
- Corner – located around the corners and usually the next most affordable with prices around £30-55
- Sideline – located along the length of the pitch with seating around the halfway line being the most desirable and expensive, with prices around £50-80
- Hospitality – premium seating or private box with amenities such as a pre-match meal, with prices around £120-2000
