Hull City are an English football club who play in the EFL Championship. Also known by their nickname, the Tigers, they play at MKM Stadium.
📜 Hull City History
The Tigers were founded in 1904. Despite facing competition from the already popular rugby league teams in the town, Hull FC and Hull KR, Hull City were able to establish themselves in the area and they were able to join the Football League in 1905.
In 1930, Hull's run to the semifinals of the FA Cup – where they were beaten in a replay by Arsenal – would be their best performance in any cup competition until 2014 when they reached the final, only to be beaten by the Gunners once again.
After decades of bouncing between the Second and Third Divisions, Hull reached a nadir in 1996 when they were relegated to the 4th tier, but a turnaround in fortunes saw them climb up to the Premier League by 2008.
