Each Formula 1 Grand Prix is contested by 20 cars, with each of the 10 teams in the championship represented by 2 separate drivers. The events begin with qualifying races, which determine the starting order for the competitive race. The driver who performs best in qualifying starts in pole position, while the driver who performs worst must start furthest from the line.
The winner of the Grand Prix race receives a trophy and 25 championship points, while those who finish second and third receive 18 and 15 points respectively. This continues down to the driver who finishes in 10th position, who receives 1 point. The polesitter and the driver who records the fastest single lap also receive points. At the end of the season, the driver with the most points wins the World Drivers' Championship, while the team with the most points between its 2 drivers wins the World Constructors' Championship.
The circuit offers a wide variety of food and drink stalls, with enough options to keep waiting times at each stand to a minimum. Fans should find a mix of western fast food such as burgers, hot dogs, and fries, as well as locally inspired dishes like ramen, udon noodles, Japanese curries, meat skewers, and steaks.
Beer is widely available, alongside water and soft drinks.
Fans are not permitted to bring their own food and drink inside the circuit.
Suzuka Circuit has 8 entrance gates, and fans should consult the circuit map and their tickets when deciding which gate to use. The main gate is the closest option for anyone with tickets for the final corner (Q1-2, R, S) and pit straight grandstands (V1, V2).
Toilet facilities are provided throughout the circuit and kept clean during events. There are enough facilities that queues should not get too long, but fans may have to wait 10-20 minutes during the very busiest times.
Feeding rooms for nursing babies, breast pumping, or baby changing are available at the main information centre, next to the Vehicle Lab.
Toilets
The circuit features a number of permanent, wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities with handrails. These are located on the first floor at Suzuka Circuit, next to the Vehicle Lab, at Kochira's Putti Town area, at Batto's Adventure Village area, and at the GP Field area.
Wheelchair Rental
Rental wheelchairs are available from the main information centre in Suzuka Circuit Park. These rentals are free for fans with a valid disability certificate provided by a public authority, but fans without a certificate will be charged 500 JPY.
Information Centre
The main information centre at the circuit is the best place to go for fans with questions or concerns. This is also where items such as wheelchairs and baby strollers can be rented.
ATMs
Cash can be withdrawn from overseas cards at the ATM next to the Clock Tower in the circuit park.
