Formula 1 is racing back to Japan in 2026!
The world's premier car racing championship will speed into Suzuka Circuit in April for the 49th running of the Japanese Grand Prix. First held as a Formula 1 event in 1976, this event was the only Asian race on the F1 calendar until Malaysia hosted in 1999. The Grand Prix has moved frequently between Suzuka and the Fuji Speedway during its history, but it has been held at the Suzuka Circuit every year since 2009.
In 2025, reigning World Champion Max Verstappen took home the main prize in Japan. Will the same faces triumph in 2026, or could a new contender end up celebrating when the final flag is waved?
