In recent years, the cost of sports tickets has skyrocketed, leaving many fans priced out of enjoying the thrill of live sport. MLB has not been immune to this trend, and despite the average ticket price of $37 (CNN) being far lower than that of the NFL or NBA, the cost of baseball tickets still increased by 3.7 percent in 2023.

However, as a recent report by MoneyGeek confirmed, a trip to the ballpark in 2024 might cost a lot less than you think. After analyzing ticket data from MLB’s official reseller SeatGeek, the financial help site found that, from July 2023 onwards, the average “cheapest ticket price” across MLB was just $17.67, with many tickets available well below that mark.
Another interesting takeaway from MoneyGeek’s MLB findings was that, in general, there is no direct correlation between the cost of a team’s cheapest home ticket and that team’s recent on-field performance, which means some of baseball’s top sides can be seen for a bargain price. For instance, 2023 playoff teams the Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, and Minnesota Twins were all among the cheapest ball clubs to watch last season, and that will likely continue in 2024.

Using the report produced by MoneyGeek, here’s a ranking of the top 10 MLB teams with the cheapest average home tickets:
