The Milwaukee Brewers are an American professional baseball team that compete in MLB's National League Central division. The side have played their home games at American Family Field in Milwaukee since 2001.
📜 Milwaukee Brewers History
Founded as the Seattle Pilots in 1969, the Milwaukee Brewers moved to their current home after just one season in the Pacific Northwest, taking on a nickname referencing Milwaukee's brewing history in the process.
Life in Wisconsin began at the Milwaukee County Stadium, but American Family Field (formerly Miller Park) , a purpose-built venue with a retractable roof, opened in 2001 and the Brewers remain its primary tenants to this day.
While the Brewers have made the Postseason 8 times during their history, the team is one of only 6 franchises never to have won a World Series. The closest the ball club has come to glory in the Fall Classic was a 4–3 loss to the St Louis Cardinals in 1982. The Brewers have since fallen short in the National League Championship Series twice, but continue to challenge regularly for the NL Central division title and more Postseason success cannot be far away.
