With the chilly winter months finally behind us, you can almost smell the excitement (and pollen) in the air as we approach the beginning of spring! You may still need a coat and we can’t guarantee you won’t get caught in April showers, but now is a great time to experience the joys of watching exhilarating sport. Here are 10 top events coming up in the next few months!
Miami Open (20 March – 2 April), Tennis
Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida, USA
Along with the BNP Paribas Open, the Miami Open tennis tournament constitutes one half of the “Sunshine Double”, making it the perfect event for fans who prefer their spring days on the hot, almost summery side, rather than showery and slightly chilly. Hosted at the Hard Rock Stadium, this joint ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event is one of the biggest tennis events in the world outside of the 4 Grand Slams, and as such always hosts a phenomenal field of world-class players in both the men’s and women's draws. Single-session Stadium Court ticket prices start at USD $28 including fees, but day-long access with a Grounds Pass is even more affordable, starting at just $22 including fees.

World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play (22-26 March), Golf
Austin Country Club, Texas, USA
Why not kick off spring in the Texas sunshine at the WGC Match Play event on the PGA Tour? This annual tournament is one of the only surviving World Golf Championships; a series of top-class events that almost rival the majors in size and scope, featuring only the world’s most elite players. With its match play format, it pits those players directly head-to-head, creating some truly unmissable drama. This will reportedly be the last time this event will be held at Austin Country Club, so don’t miss your chance to see it live while you can! General admission Grounds tickets start at USD $130, while hospitality starts at $190.

New York Yankees v San Francisco Giants (30 March), Baseball
Yankee Stadium, New York City, New York, USA
As springtime returns to the United States, so does baseball. In 2023, MLB’s Opening Day takes place on 30 March, and for the first time since 1968, all 30 teams will be in action. While intriguing encounters will play out across the country, there’s nowhere better to catch the season opener than Yankee Stadium, where the New York Yankees will take on the San Francisco Giants with tickets available from USD $88. Led by captain and talisman Aaron Judge, the Bronx Bombers will be hoping to get off to a winning start as they chase down their first World Series Championship since 2009. Look out for military flyovers and traditional player introductions because finally, after another long winter, it’s nearly time to “play ball!”

WrestleMania (1–2 April), Wrestling
SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, California, USA
WWE SummerSlam might be the “Biggest Party of the Summer”, but WrestleMania will always be the king of spring. Hosted this year by LA’s SoFi Stadium, the “Showcase of the Immortals” will take place over the course of 2 enormous nights as history is made, future stars are born, and legacies are solidified. Among the high-stakes matches set to take place at the event are a Raw Women’s Championship bout between Bianca Belair and Asuka, and a long-awaited battle for the Undisputed Universal Championship between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. With tickets starting from USD $70, it’s not too late for wrestling fans to secure a seat at SoFi as the stars of the squared circle hit Hollywood.

Keeneland Spring Meet (7-28 April), Horse Racing
Keeneland Association Inc., Louisville, Kentucky, USA
The state of Kentucky is renowned for its horse racing and equine history, and Keeneland presents “racing as it was meant to be” against the beautiful backdrop of springtime in the States. Racing at Keeneland is a sight to behold because of its tradition and world-class horses. For over 80 years, the best of the best have contended here in the Spring Meet due to the proud racing heritage and the course's overwhelming sense of history. As well as the Blue Grass Stakes -which is a race that prepares horses for the Kentucky Derby and is one of the richest in North America - the Spring Meet features 15 graded stakes races over a period of 15 days in April. Tickets start at just USD $7 for general admission.
Manchester City v Arsenal (26 April), Football
Etihad Stadium, Manchester, UK
As the flowers bloom and warmer weather begins to return, spring is often a relaxing time – unless you’re a football fan whose team is entering the business end of the season, that is. On 26 April, Manchester City host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in a titanic clash that could prove to be a title-decider. The Gunners are bidding to win their first Premier League title since 2004 and have spent most of the campaign leading the way atop the table, but perennial challengers City have been snapping at their heels throughout. City ran out 3-1 winners when they met at the Emirates Stadium in February, so Arsenal will be desperate to return the favour. Adult tickets for this momentous match start at GBP £68.

SLS Chicago (29 April), Skateboarding
Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois, USA
Street League Skateboarding is back with a new tour in 2023 and Stop 1 is in Chicago! While tulips burst into colour along Michigan Avenue and cherry blossom transforms Jackson Park, the world’s top skaters will spring into action at Wintrust Arena. Fresh off her Super Crown Championship in 2022, teenage sensation Rayssa Leal will compete alongside legends like Nyjah Huston and Yuto Horigome in the first of this year’s 4 stops. SLS rewards creativity and skill, with icons of the sport facing all the traditional obstacles of a true street course in a dramatic arena setting. The tour heads to Tokyo for Stop 2 in the summer, but which competitors will be leaving Chicago with most points? Tickets are available from USD $36.
Doha Diamond League (5 May), Athletics
Qatar Sports Club (Suheim bin Hamad) Stadium, Doha, Qatar
Nothing says springtime quite like the outdoor athletics season kicking off! The Diamond League premier track and field competition brings together the world’s best athletes for a series of one-day meetings in exciting cities, and it all starts in Doha on 5 May. The meeting is one of 15 in 14 countries with the final in Eugene (16-17 Sep) consisting of 2 days of dramatic conclusive “winner takes all” showdowns. Some of the highlights of this year’s calendar include Rome’s Golden Gala moving to Florence, the retaining of Silesia as a Diamond League level event, and the prospect of 2 Chinese stages that have been postponed for 2 years. Although the event in Doha is yet to go on sale, tickets are available for Paris (9 June), Oslo (15 June), Stockholm (2 July), Silesia (16 July), and Brussels (8 Sep) with some of the most affordable being under EUR €30.
Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (19-21 May), Motorsports
Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola, Italy
Spring brings the thrill of Formula 1 racing to the picturesque green hillsides of northern Italy. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is hosted at the famous Imola circuit, less than 30 miles from the food capital and bustling university city of Bologna. With a full weekend of racing action on offer, motorsports fans would struggle to find a more scenic and exciting springtime getaway. World Champion Max Verstappen won at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari last year, and the competition will be fierce in 2023. Grandstand seating is provided all around the circuit, and grassy lawn areas provide the perfect spot for a Mediterranean picnic. General Admission tickets are on sale from EUR €50 for a daily pass, while weekend grandstand viewing is available from €327.

Gallagher Premiership Final (27 May), Rugby
Twickenham Stadium, London, UK
The final match of English rugby union’s domestic season is always a highlight of the spring, bringing fanatics and families alike together at the “home of rugby”, London’s Twickenham Stadium. As well as seeing the 2 best clubs in the land go to head-to-head with the Premiership trophy at stake, spectators can head to the fan village, enjoy match day entertainment, and savour some great food and drink. Whether the sunshine is beating down on the iconic stadium or a bit of British drizzle is watering the turf, the atmosphere at this huge fixture always puts some spring in rugby fans’ step!
