The Miami Open is one of the best-attended tennis tournaments outside of the 4 Grand Slams. Since its inaugural edition in 1985 at Laver's International Tennis Resort in Delray Beach, the tournament has moved numerous times, with its longest stint of 22 years at Crandon Park. After plans for expansion at Crandon Park were rejected, the tournament moved to brand new facilities at Hard Rock Stadium in 2019.
The event takes place on a hard court surface and is part of the men’s ATP Masters 1000 series and the women's WTA 1000 series, meaning you’ll see the world’s most elite players battling for the Miami Open trophies.
Like everything in the city, the Miami Open is characterised by great weather and a cool, laid-back vibe. When you’re not in the grandstands, the campus is the ideal oasis in which to soak up the sunshine, music, food, and drink.
