The Wanda Diamond League is one of the premier athletics competitions on the planet, bringing together the best athletes in the sport for a series of dramatic one-day meetings in some of the world's most exciting cities.
Created in 2010 to enhance the standing of athletics around the world, the Wanda Diamond League is a mixture of long-established European athletics meets and their equivalents in Asia, Africa, and North America.
Format & Scoring
In the Diamond League, 14 nations are currently hosting 15 meetings. In order to advance to the final, each athlete must gain points in the first 14 events of the series. The victor of each discipline will be determined in the 15th "winner takes all" finale showdown event. A range of track and field disciplines are contested and each of the 14 qualification meetings hosting a different selection, and the final meeting hosting the finals of all of those contested over the series.
