The Milwaukee Brewers are one of 6 teams never to have won a World Series, but that might not be the case for long. At the midway point of the MLB season, the Brewers are just one game behind the Cincinnati Reds and well-positioned to earn a place in the Postseason. With stars like Christian Yelich on the field, and thousands of Wisconsinites in the stands, the Cream City could be a tough place to play in October when the Brew Crew will hope to bring home their first Commissioner’s Trophy.

2023 Schedule
The Milwaukee Brewers will play 162 MLB games during the 2023 season – 81 at American Family Field, and 81 on the road.
2023 is the first season of MLB’s new, more balanced, schedule, and the Milwaukee Brewers will face every other MLB team at least once. This year, the Brewers will play 13 games against each of their fellow NL Central teams ( St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates); 64 intraleague games (v non-division NL teams); and 46 interleague games (v AL teams).
As of 11 July, the Brewers boast a 49–42 record for the 2023 season. In their next game, on 14 July, the Milwaukee-based team will take on divisional rivals the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark. The Brew Crew will bring their regular season to a close on 1 October against another NL Central rival – the Chicago Cubs at American Family Field.
You can find the Milwaukee Brewers’ 2023 Regular Season schedule here.
2023 Rivals
The Milwaukee Brewers' main rivals are the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins.
The Brewers-Cubs rivalry is known as the I-94 rivalry due to the fact that the teams' ballparks are connected by an 83 mile stretch of Interstate 94. As well as geographical proximity, long-standing animosity between the 2 areas' NFL teams ( Green Bay Packers & Chicago Bears) has also added to the rivalry and made it one of the best in MLB.
The Brewers-Twins rivalry is an interleague rivalry between teams from neighboring states. The rivalry was particularly heated when the Brewers and Twins were both members of the American League (Milwaukee transferred to the National League in 1998), but games between the 2 teams remain popular with fans.
The Milwaukee Brewers will play the Chicago Cubs 6 more times this season:
- Chicago Cubs v Milwaukee Brewers · 28 Aug 2023
- Chicago Cubs v Milwaukee Brewers · 29 Aug 2023
- Chicago Cubs v Milwaukee Brewers · 30 Aug 2023
- Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs · 29 Sep 2023
- Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs · 30 Sep 2023
- Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs · 1 Oct 2023
2023 Postseason and World Series
The Milwaukee Brewers have made the MLB Postseason 8 times in their history. The franchise is one of 6 teams never to have won the World Series. The closest the Brewers have come to taking home the Commissioner’s Trophy was in 1982, when the franchise lost 3–2 in the World Series to the St Louis Cardinals.
Over the past 10 years, the Brewers have made the playoffs 4 times. The franchise most recently competed in the Postseason in 2021, when they were defeated by the Atlanta Braves in the NL Divisional Series.
The 2023 MLB Postseason will begin in October, once the regular season has ended. 12 teams qualify for the MLB Postseason, which is a 4-round playoff system: Wild Card Round (Best-of-3), Division Series (Best-of-5), Championship Series (Best-of-7), and World Series (Best-of-7).
