A star-studded franchise fit for Hollywood, the Los Angeles Dodgers have won the World Series 7 times and continually dominate MLB’s NL West division. While Hall-of-Famers like Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax have pulled on the team’s jersey in the past, modern day stars like Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts now ply their trade at Dodger Stadium to a similarly high level. Having made the Postseason every year for the last 10 years, the Dodgers will look to repeat their 2020 World Series triumph in 2023 and bring yet another Commissioner’s Trophy back to the City of Angels.

2023 Rivals
As a result of the team’s long and storied history, the Los Angeles Dodgers have developed a number of rivalries with other teams in MLB. For instance, the franchise, which began life in Brooklyn, New York before relocating to LA, has counted the New York Yankees as a rival since the early 1900s – a rivalry that was rekindled as a result of World Series contests between the 2 sides in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The rivalry continues today, with both teams major forces on their respective coasts.
Closer to home, the Dodgers’ main rivals are fellow California teams the Los Angeles Angels, San Diego Padres, and the San Francisco Giants. In particular, the Dodgers-Giants rivalry is one of the oldest in baseball and began in New York, well before both franchises moved to the Golden State. Fuelled on by one another, both the Giants and Dodgers have won numerous World Series and remain close rivals due to their geographical proximity and shared history.
