At the end of the 2023 Australian Football League (AFL) premiership regular season Carlton Football Club was in good stead: the Melbourne side had won 9 consecutive home-and-away matches between rounds 14 and 23, and, despite losing to the GWS Giants in round 24, went into the finals series as one of the AFL’s form teams. The club defeated the Sydney Swans 11.8 (74) to 9.14 (68) in the first week of the finals, and then overcame Melbourne 11.7 (73) to 9.17 (71) in the semifinals. In the preliminary finals, however, the 16-time premiers fell to only a second defeat since June, losing 11.13 (79) to 9.9 (63) to the Brisbane Lions. To make matters worse, Carlton’s bitter rivals Collingwood would go on to defeat the Lions in the grand final and lift a record-equalling 16th premiership just a week later. In 2024, Carlton fans will be hoping their team can supersede that record and claim a 17th flag. Helping the club in trying to achieve that will be new signings such as Orazio Fantasia and Elijah Hollands – will these additions give Carlton the edge?

How to get Cheap Tickets
At most AFL matches, the cheapest tickets are those which provide access to the seating sections located near the posts, or the 50-metre line. Seats which are situated along the wings are the most coveted, and as a result tickets for these seats are more expensive. General Admission tickets, which do not entitle the holder to a specific, reserved seat, are also usually among the most affordable tickets on offer at a game. Tickets for fixtures involving less prestigious or weaker sides may also be cheaper than tickets for derby matches or important games. Koobit compares the price of AFL tickets from official and secondary sellers, so that you can find the perfect Carlton ticket at the most affordable price available.
