Car parking is usually available at the MCG in Yarra Park on event days. This land is controlled by the Melbourne Cricket Club and managed on event days by Care Park.

Bus route 246 is run by National Bus Company, which links La Trobe University with Elsternwick Station in a useful service for fans from the northern and southern suburbs. The closest bus stop to the venue is Rowena Pde/Punt Rd, which is 500 m (6 min) walk from the MCG.
Train
Melbourne Cricket Ground can be reached via Lilydale, Belgrave, Alamein, Glen Waverley, Dandenong, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston or Sandringham lines. Alight at Richmond Station, which is 550 m (7 min) walk from MCG.
From any railway station in the Central Business District, take the Hurstbridge or Epping lines to reach Jolimont Station. Joilmont Station is 350 m (4 min) walk from MCG.
Tram Stops
The No. 75 tram (City-Vermont South) travels along Flinders St and connects with the eastern suburbs via Wellington Parade. The No. 48 tram (Docklands/City-North Balwyn) travels along Collins Street and connects with the eastern suburbs via Wellington Parade.

The MCG has 7 entrance gates. Each gate covers the following areas:
Unisex, male, and female toilets are located in the Great Southern Stand, Ponsford Stand, Olympic Stand, and MCC Members Reserve. All stands also have baby changing stations.
Parent Rooms are located at the rear of M11 in the Great Southern Stand, behind M28 in the Ponsford Stand, behind M57 in the Olympic Stand and inside the Gate 2 entrance of the MCC Members Reserve. Each Parent Room includes baby change facilities, a family toilet and microwave.
While bicycles are not permitted to enter the stadium, nor park on the MCG concourse, there are a number of bicycle hoops located next to the stadium in Yarra Park. For major events during the summer, additional bike parking facilities will be available in the western section of Yarra Park, adjacent to the cricket nets outside Gate 1.

Accessible parking is available in Yarra Park, subject to capacity. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit to obtain access.
G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG. The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick-up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick-up points at the following locations:

Wristbands for Lost Children
Wristbands are available at the Public Enquiry Counter at the Stadium Management Centre (Level B1, Ponsford Stand) and the Customer Service Office behind seating Bay M57 in the Olympic Stand.
Parents can write either their mobile number or seat location on the back of the wristband, making it easy to reunite children with their parents quickly in the event that the two parties become separated while at the ground. This is a free service and parents with small children are encouraged to get a wristband for their child.

The MCG has 9 first aid rooms, including 4 on Level B1 (M6, M13, M30, M45), and 4 on Level 4 (Q18, Q36, Q41, Q54).
