Dundee

Dundee is home to Dundee United FC, a professional football team based at Tannadice Park in the Scottish Premiership, the top tier of Scottish football, and Dundee FC who play in the Scottish Championship, the second tier. The city is also home to the Dundee Stars, a professional Elite Ice Hockey League team who play their home games at the Dundee Arena.

Dundee is a small but immersive port city along the River Tay on Scotland’s rugged east coast, which has long been defined by its maritime history and jute manufacturing heritage. Although Dundee is no longer a prominent trade port, its riverside location plays an important role in everyday life there. Get to know Dundee’s harbour by climbing aboard the RRS Discovery expedition ship dating back to 1901, taking a ferry to Broughty Castle, which has protected the city from beyond the shores for hundreds of years, or discovering its newest addition, the V&A Dundee. Like any Scottish city, Dundee is also surrounded by a number of beautifully intimidating castles, including the fairytale-like Glamis Castle, and stunning countryside walking paths, which take you through the Scottish Highlands and along the sandy shorelines.
