📜 Dundee FC History
The club was founded in 1893 by a merger between 2 local clubs, Dundee East End and Dundee Our Boys, who banded together so they could apply for a place in the Scottish Football League.
They earned their first honour in 1910 by winning the Scottish Cup, having already finished as runners-up in the league on 3 occasions that decade.
Dundee earned the one and only top-flight title in their history in 1962 under the stewardship of manager Bob Shankly, and the following season they reached the semifinals of the European Cup before being ousted by Italian giants AC Milan.
