There are 3 main car parking areas during the Grand Prix:
Due to limited availability, it is essential to pre-book your parking passes before the event. Between Friday-Sunday, there will be additional road restrictions and one-way traffic systems in place, particularly on the A43 and Dadford Road. Therefore, make sure you plan your driving route carefully and follow the directions and signage to ensure you reach your designated parking area.
Between Friday-Sunday, there will be some road restrictions and one-way systems in place to manage traffic, which will prevent taxis dropping-off and picking-up directly at the circuit during peak times. Therefore, the recommended taxi drop-off and pick-up spot is in nearby Silverstone village, which is a 1.5 km (18 min) walk to the circuit.
Please ensure your taxi driver is familiar with the traffic system over race weekend, particularly on the A43, to avoid becoming stuck in a one-way traffic system into the circuit's car park.
Silverstone Circuit can be reached on a number of public bus routes:
Between Thursday-Sunday of Grand Prix weekend, Silverstone operates special Grand Prix shuttles from Banbury, Milton Keynes, and Northampton train stations that are faster and drop closest to the circuit main entrance. These shuttle services must be pre-booked before the event.
Megabus and National Express also operate a range of coach transfers from towns and cities throughout the UK directly to Silverstone between Friday-Sunday.
Silverstone Circuit is in proximity to a number of main line rail stations:
On arrival at the station, you will need to organise a transfer to the circuit. Between Friday-Sunday, special shuttle buses operate from Milton Keynes and Northampton to the circuit. Check the Coach & Bus section for more information.
You can fly directly into Silverstone Circuit during the Grand Prix. Shuttle services and custom charter flights land directly at Silverstone Heliport on the south-east side of the circuit, with courtesy transport after landing to take you to and from your preferred entrance.
Bicycle racks are available at every entrance gate. Historically, bicycles have been permitted inside the circuit but, due to large crowds, visitors will not be permitted to bring bicycles into the circuit for this year's event.
The rural location of Silverstone means that it is not really viable to walk to the circuit from any of the surrounding larger towns. However, if you are staying in Silverstone village or one of the nearby campsites, you may find walking more convenient and flexible than other transport methods. Check with your accommodation provider for the best route.
