The Formula 1 British Grand Prix is one of the oldest and most iconic events on the Formula 1 racing calendar.
The first ever British Grand Prix was held in 1926 at Brooklands circuit in Surrey as part of the AIACR Championship. In 1950, the event joined the inaugural season of the Formula One World Championship as a founding member, and Britain has staged a race every season since – an honour it jointly holds with the Italian Grand Prix. Whilst the race has taken place at a number of different venues over the years, it has now firmly established its home at Silverstone Circuit.
For 3 days each year, the quiet, unassuming village of Silverstone plays host to one of Britain’s most epic sports events: with an attendance in excess of 350,000 over the long weekend. You will experience the adrenaline kick of Formula 1 and other world-class support races on-track, as well as a host of activities, concerts, and other entertainment across the circuit’s vast, green campus. Mix-in the incredible atmosphere generated by the passionate British fans cheering on home-grown talent like Hamilton, Russell, and Norris, and the British Grand Prix is an unmissable event!
