The Autumn Nations Series, also known as the Autumn Internationals or the End of Year Rugby Tests, provide some of the last top-tier international rugby of the year. Traditionally hosted by teams in the Northern Hemisphere, they invite their Southern Hemisphere rivals to join them for a year-ending showdown. Normally, each team face a range of opponents, in order to test themselves to the fullest.
As there are no formal prizes at stake, it is pride, reputation, and rivalries which spur the teams on, but these factors are always more than enough to guarantee fans plenty of tries, some excellent matches, and maybe a few upsets, too!
