Tickets for the Adelaide Equestrian Festival are officially on sale. Scheduled to take place in the heart of Adelaide from 1-4 May 2025, this premier event promises an unforgettable showcase of world-class equestrian sport, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences.
The Adelaide Equestrian Festival, formerly known as the Australian International 3-Day Event, is a cornerstone of Australia’s equestrian scene. Held in the picturesque setting of Victoria Park and the Adelaide Park Lands, the festival is the Southern Hemisphere’s only 5-star equestrian event and one of only 7 annual 5-star events in the world along with Burghley Horse Trials, Badminton Horse Trials, the Kentucky 3-Day Event, Maryland 5 Star, Étoiles de Pau, and Luhmühlen Horse Trials. The 4-day event in Adelaide attracts elite riders and horses from around the globe, competing in the thrilling disciplines of:
- Dressage (Thursday & Friday) – displays of precision and elegance as riders and horses perform choreographed routines
- Cross-Country (Saturday) – riders and horses tackle a challenging course designed to test endurance, bravery, and skill
- Showjumping (Sunday) – jumping accuracy under time pressure determines the winners in the arena
The 2025 festival will feature an enhanced spectator experience, with top hospitality options, interactive family-friendly activities, and an upgraded shopping village showcasing premium equestrian gear, local crafts, and gourmet food. The cross-country day, a perennial favourite, will once again provide breathtaking action as riders navigate intricate obstacles in a high-stakes test of skill, speed, and partnership with their horses.
The festival offers a variety of ticket packages to suit every fan:
- General Admission - provides access to the entire venue (except hospitality areas). Heritage Grandstand tickets will offer the best view of the action in the arena
- The Giddy Up Club - provides exceptional ringside viewing, catering, and a bar, as well as access to Rymill Park's Island on cross-country day
- VIP Lounge - the premier hospitality option with inclusive food and drinks
As in previous years, the Thursday of the event is free admission. There are single-day passes available and multi-day tickets for those wanting to enjoy the whole event. Children, students, and senior visitors can all avail of reduced-price tickets, and there is priority access for those who require mobility assistance.
The festival isn’t just about equestrian excellence—it’s a celebration of Adelaide’s vibrant culture. From live music performances to culinary experiences featuring local wines and produce, the event is a hub for community connection and world-class entertainment.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer to the equestrian world, the 2025 Adelaide Equestrian Festival promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for all.
