Since losing back-to-back World Series in 2010 and 2011, the Texas Rangers have not yet returned to the Fall Classic, but that could all be about to change. While in South Texas the Houston Astros have been dominating MLB, the Rangers have been busy assembling a roster of talented players that could put them in the Postseason picture for years to come. Led by the likes of Corey Seager and Marcus Semien, the Rangers currently sit atop the AL West division and are ready to mount a charge for the Commissioner's Trophy.

2023 Schedule
The Texas Rangers will play 162 MLB games during the 2023 season – 81 at Globe Life Field, and 81 on the road.
2023 will be the first season of MLB’s new, more balanced, schedule, and the Texas Rangers will face every other MLB team at least once. This year, the Rangers will play 13 games against each of their fellow AL West teams ( Los Angeles Angels, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, & Oakland Athletics); 64 intraleague games (v non-division AL teams); and 46 interleague games (v NL teams).
As of 26 June, the Rangers boast a 47–30 record for the 2023 season. In their next game, on 26 June, the Rangers will face the Detroit Tigers at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The team from north Texas will bring their regular season to a close on 1 October this year when they face divisional rivals the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park.

2023 Rivals
The Texas Rangers' main rivals are the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels.
The Rangers-Angels rivalry is an all-AL West affair and developed over the years after both teams challenged regularly for the division title. The fact that a number of players have turned out for both teams (including Nolan Ryan, Mike Napoli, and CJ Wilson) has added fuel to the fire through the decades, and the Rangers' resurgence in the second third of the 2020s has led to more high-stakes encounters each season.
The Rangers' main rivals are fellow Texas natives, and AL West members, the Houston Astros. Known as the Lone Star Series (or Silver Boot Series), the winners of the most games between the 2 sides each season receive a silver cowboy boot trophy. While the Rangers (from the Dallas-Fort Worth area of the state) dominated the rivalry in the early 2010s, the Astros took control from 2017, winning every Silver Boot between 2017–2022. With 13 high-pressure games played between the 2 teams each season, the whole state of Texas looks on when the Astros face the Rangers.
The Texas Rangers will play the Houston Astros 10 more times this season:

2023 Postseason and World Series
The Texas Rangers have made the MLB Postseason 8 times in franchise history. The Rangers are one of 6 teams never to have won the World Series, and came closest in 2010 & 2011 when they lost in the Fall Classic 2 years in a row.
Over the past 10 years, the Rangers have made the playoffs twice, most recently in 2016, when they were eliminated by the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL Divisional Series.
The 2023 MLB Postseason will take place in October, once the regular season has ended. 12 teams qualify for the MLB Postseason, which is a 4-round playoff system: Wild Card Round (Best-of-3), Division Series (Best-of-5), Championship Series (Best-of-7), and World Series (Best-of-7).
