The Atlanta Braves have long been one of MLB’s most successful teams, and after winning the World Series in 2021, the 2020s are already looking like another potentially historic decade for the franchise they call "America’s Team". In 2023, talented young stars like Ronald Acuna Jr. will combine with veterans like Max Fried as the Braves battle to win their sixth straight division title and their second World Series in 3 years. A tough division, stacked with rivals, stands in their way, but after accumulating 101 wins last year, the Braves are sure to be back in the race come October 2023.

2023 Schedule
The Atlanta Braves will play 162 MLB games this season – 81 at Truist Park and 81 on the road.
2023 is the first season of MLB’s new, more balanced schedule, and the Braves will face every team in the league. The Georgia-based franchise will play 13 games against each of their fellow NL East sides ( New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, & Washington Nationals); 64 intraleague games (v non-division NL teams); and 46 interleague games (v AL teams).
As of 15 May, the Braves hold a record of 25–15 for the 2023 season. The team’s next game will take place on 15 May against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Braves will wrap-up the regular season at Truist Park on 1 October against the Washington Nationals.

2023 Rivals
The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies have always been core rivals for the Atlanta Braves, and it’s no surprise, considering all 3 teams have played in the same division (NL East) for multiple decades.
The Braves-Mets rivalry can be traced back to 1969 when the Mets swept the Braves in the National League Championship Series (NLCS), but the rivalry really came to life in the 1990s, when MLB realignment led to both teams playing in the NL East division. Fourteen consecutive division titles for the Braves in the 90s and early 2000s frustrated the Mets and added fuel to the fire. The rivalry continues today. In 2022, the Mets and Braves battled to achieve 101 wins each for the season. Ultimately, the Braves were named division champions due to the fact that they had won more games against the Mets in the regular season.
Similar to the Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies are another Braves rival from the NL East. In recent years, both teams have continued to prove themselves among MLB's very best – the Braves winning the 2021 World Series, and the Phillies losing out to the Houston Astros during the Fall Classic of 2022.
The Braves and Mets are set to face each other 10 more times in the 2023 regular season:

2023 Postseason and World Series
The Atlanta Braves have made the MLB Postseason 28 times, and have won the World Series on 4 occasions. The Braves’ last World Series win came in 2021 when they defeated the Houston Astros 4–2. The team last appeared in the playoffs in 2022, but were eliminated by the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series.
The 2023 MLB Postseason will take place in October, once the regular season has come to a close. 12 teams qualify for the MLB Postseason, which is a 4-round playoff system: Wild Card Round (Best-of-3), Division Series (Best-of-5), Championship Series (Best-of-7), and World Series (Best-of-7).
