The St. Leger Festival – commonly known as the St. Leger Festival – is a thrilling flat racing meeting for thoroughbred horses held at Doncaster Racecourse in South Yorkshire, UK.
The event offers 4 days of incredible action showcasing the world’s best flat racing talent. The feature race of the meeting is the St. Leger Stakes; the oldest of Britain’s 5 flat racing Classics having been established in 1776. Not to be missed, the final day of the festival sees the running of the oldest horse race in the world, the Doncaster Cup. As the event is held annually in September, the St. Leger is socially recognised as the end of summer in England.
