Doncaster Racecourse is easily accessed via a range of forms of transport. It has excellent links to the motorway network including M1 (junction 32), M18 (junction 3/4), A1M (junction 36), and the M62. There are also good train and bus connections to the course.

Car Park A is just a 320 m (4 min) walk to the course entrance. Parking here costs £5 per car.
Parking is free in Car Park C at Doncaster Racecourse except for during the St Leger Festival. This Car Park is at the family entrance at the bottom end of the course and is a slightly longer walk to the entrance than Car Park A.
The Coach Park is located at the family entrance and is free parking for coaches.
Doncaster Racecourse can be reached by public bus routes 57c, 57f, 58a, and 58c from the town centre. Alight at the Bawtry Road/Leger Way stop which is a 320 m (4 min) walk to the course entrance.
A shuttle bus service runs between the racecourse and Doncaster Interchange (Train Station) for all race meetings. It will commence from the Interchange at approximately the time when the gates open and continue until approximately 30 mins before the first race. The return journey (which will stop at a designated point on sound of the bell) will start just after the penultimate race, and continue until approximately 1 hour after the last race. If there is entertainment following racing the service will continue until this has finished.
Doncaster Racecourse is easily reached by train due to the connections at Doncaster Train Station. Services from CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Grand Central, Hull Trains, LNER, Northern Trains, and TransPennine Express connect the town to destinations countrywide including London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.
From Doncaster Train Station, it is only a 2.4 km (29 min) walk to the course, or you can take the complimentary shuttle bus service.

Doncaster is a small northern town with a number of mid-range and budget hotels, b&bs, and guesthouses. The majority are located in Doncaster town centre where the best bars and restaurants can be found.
Doncaster Racecourse has a fantastic range of eateries and bars whether you’re looking for an elegant glass of bubbly at the Champagne Lawn or wanting to grab a quick bite to eat in the food court.
Picnics are only permitted in the Family Enclosure at the racecourse. Please note that no drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) may not be brought into any area of the racecourse. Barbecues are not permitted in any part of the course.
The racecourse provides free drinking water at all bars across the site.

As the racecourse is handily located within the town, it is just a 1.8 km (21 min) walk to the town centre where there are sites, eateries, bars, and shops.
Toilet facilities are located throughout the racecourse in all enclosures.
Doncaster Racecourse hosts a range of racing fixtures events throughout the year with the autumn/winter jump season and the spring/summer flat season. Fixtures can be on a single day or they can last for several days, and each raceday will feature about 7 races and a wide range of entertainment, food, and drink off the track. The most significant fixture is the St. Leger Festival which is held annually in September and features the last of the UK Triple Crown races, the St. Leger.
Doncaster Racecourse ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the the Premier Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the Grandstand Enclosure. Similarly, Grandstand Enclosure tickets may be more expensive on a St. Leger Festival raceday than at one of the smaller fixtures. It is sometimes possible to buy tickets at Doncaster Racecourse on the day of the event. However, this is subject to availability on the day and you risk not being able to enter. Doncaster Racecourse offers an ample amount of free public parking which is for all racedays (except for during the St. Leger Festival when a fee is requested). Traffic around the course builds up at peak times, so early arrival is advised to avoid delays getting into the venue.
