I enjoyed the great golfing. The rules are inconsistent regarding what you can bring in- I saw people with insulated water bottles, even though the signs say no outside food / beverage allowed.
So very disappointed that the 2026 Sentry Tournament was cancelled this year! It is one of our favorite tournaments that we look forward to and help to support the PGA and the island of Maui. Hope to see it back for 2027! Mahalo
It was cancelled 😭
The past couple times I attended the tournament ('23 '24) there was practically no handicap accommodations, even though sponsors advertised facilities and accommodations were available. Due to almost hilly terrain all over, travel was limited to only couple holes. I was left stranded many times during day. I hitched rides with golf personal who were traveling along from green to green as supervisors. They were always very nice to help, but many times I was left stranded at a particular green, sometimes all alone late in the day. I've attended the tournament for over 20+ years, but recently my travels have been limited. Unfortunately with practically handicap help, I did not attend this year and won't be attending in the future. My last experience as I was getting on the bus to travel to car was a feeling that I couldn't come back.
Hope its back next year
Great way to see a PGA tour in Asia
The course and staff were amazing. The selection of merchandise was a bit lacking compared to normal pga tour events.

Great day and event really well organised. BUT having the players total scores in white lettering on red was a nightmare. It meant the crowd did not immediately react to changes in scores as no one could make out numbers. Many people therefore resorted to using phones to see scores. Otherwise great.
When entering the public car park, there are 2 fields to park in, left or right, depending on which one you are directed to.
On leaving the car park at the end of the tournament, if you are in the right hand car park then be prepared to sit in your car going nowhere for well over an hour due to the complete inexperience of the young boys with hi vis vests and hats on. Cars from all over the place are trying get out of the one exit.
However, if you were in the left hand car park on entering, the exit process is more simple and quicker.
There are 2 exits overall and not one, in fact I saw cars going up another road towards the Muirfield exit.
I was in the wrong side car park, sat for over an hour whilst people were abusing the car park boys, with no supervisors or management to help them, then drove to the other left hand car park road exit and got out in 10 minutes.
The organisers haven't learned or don't care from previous years car park chaos. They have your money and they are patting themselves on the back that the golf itself went well.
As usual fantastic week
Amazing course, well set up for fans. Needs to be more entrances and exits for parking.
Fantastic day at the golf , no course maps available early in morning and signage to different holes non existent . Other than that it was incredible. Food , toilets etc very good.
Excellent
Had a wonderful time. There was a lack of seating for visitors other than those who had passes for concession areas. It was very hot and shaded seating areas would have been appreciated.
We attend every year. Noticed several improvements this year. Like the printed tickets and lanyards. The concessions seemed to be better organized and offered improved food selections. Overall, we had a great time at the event. That is until we tried to leave. Once again, traffic from the bus parking lot shuffles onto the main highway going in the wrong direction for those of us trying to leave the island. There is a left turn light of very short duration. Maybe six cars get through each cycle. The line of cars waiting to turn left is very long. Traffic control at this intersection is badly needed. I commented on this last year, but nothing was done about it. Please fix this. Thanks for asking.
The Players is a fantastic family-friendly event. The food offerings were spectacular!

Wonderful event well organized. Won't be attending the wine and dine again. Horrible, cheap wine paired with nice food.
Limited viewing areas,
Excellent time at Pebble Beach! It’s our 3rd year going and this time we brought our 1 year old son and it was equally as great! The staff popped our strolled back up when we arrived at pebble. Everyone was kind and helpful and always. Facilities clean and very kid friendly! Will be making this a continual family tradition.

I had a great experience at the Sony Open. It gets harder to logistically get there every year. There used to be shuttles that came close to our hotel the Hale Koa but no longer. I had to walk probably 1 1/2 mile to catch a bus. The same for my return afterwards. That’s hard when you’re 76 years old and a veteran at that. I wished they came to the Hale Koa to pick up the veterans that would like to go. I come every year but I don’t know how much longer if they make anymore difficult.
