Tour crowded. It was great to see the golfers, but it was sad to see intoxicated people. Totally understand because the grass was wet. People can review the golf as they have in the past. Nonetheless accommodation should have made for that.
The ATT Pro AM Golf Tournament was a wonderful event. Sure miss seeing the STARS as amatures though. The athletes were fun to watch, but the other celebrities who used to golf in this tournament are missed.
Very enjoyable golf tournament and concerts.
Beautiful location. Good participation of quality golf professionals. So grateful that the golf community is supporting Maui with tourism dollars and donations.
Plenty of exercise if you can handle it!
I love this event. It is so easy to be up and close with great players and see beautiful golf courses.
My only word of advice for future changes is we were unable to get an UBER to get anywhere close to the golf grounds. In the end we had to walk all the way past the car park to get to somewhere where the traffic control people would allow an UBER to come. It would seem obvious to me that there should be a stream of UBER's dropping off and picking up people at the two sites.
Healther food I wouldn't feed that stuff to my dog
The Sony Open was the highlight of our trip to Oahu. Beautiful course, able to get up close and see player's shots. Sweet 16 Chalet was GREAT!! If we are in Oahu for the next Sony Open I highly recommend spending the extra on the opportunity to spend a day in the Chalet. We were right on the 16th hole and looking at the green in front of the famous "W" palm trees.
Beautiful golf course and always enjoy my time. I’m retired military so this event is a GREAT
Benefit for us and always meet some great fellow veterans there. We share stories about our service to this country. Of course we talk about the golfers we’re following.
Golf tournament very good and organisation at the course good. Food and drinks retailed at the rate expected for Hawai’i. The only complaint is the transport to and from the course. Also souvenir items were very expensive.
Los disfrute mucho. Me hubiera gustado más tribunas para todos y no tanto por invitación.
It was a phenomenal experience. The staff, Karen, was very organized and worked hard ensuring a good outcome. She was very enthusiastic and kind.
Great course but very difficult for fans to walk. Limited access to water and bathrooms by clubhouse. My wife has limited mobility so to ask her to walk 100 yards for a bathroom is sad for a PGA tour event. Expected more from the PGA charging $150 to walk thru the door. Apparently the only want rich fans to attend.
I attended last January on Saturday and Sunday. I always love watching the tournament on TV and noticed that it is not too crowded. I realized why after attending. Nearly impossible to follow one group; especially, since the players take carts between holes on 4 or 5 holes. We did buy premium seating on 18 and one of the par 3's but did not think the views were worth it. We love Maui, but no plans to attend the tournament again.
I love it! Everything was top notch. A hard walk for a 74 year old though.
Great course beautiful location but if you aren’t local and don’t have a car difficult to get there shuttle bus only runs to one location and then you have to taxi from there it’s a shame the bus couldn’t drop at a variety of locations along the coast road.
Not enough food and drink outlets on the course and the vendors seemed to charge whatever they get like not giving change.
Golf was excellent and volunteers very friendly.
Well run event. Not oversold .Good seating😎
Great tournament. Volunteers were helpful and polite. Cookclub was terrific.
Beautiful grounds. Very efficient people moving throughout the day.. from car to door to car. I would go again.
I had a blast at the Phoenix Open earlier this year. The atmosphere at the 16th hole i.e Coliseum was electric - more like a rock concert than a golf tournament!!! The crowd was rowdy and energy was off the charts. The other holes were a more traditional golf experience but still great.
The weather was perfect and were plenty of food and drink options. They also did a great job with recycling and keeping the place clean - its in the name 😄
The only downside was the parking but it's not uncommon at big events. I'll be back next year!
I am not sure I can give you a great review because I was a volunteer for 5 days and fan for only one. However, I think it is a great golfing event which is enjoyed by many people. I do have a question? Most of the sponsor for this American PGA event comes from Japan. Why not get some support from Amazon, Google or many other American Companies. Not sure if they want more people to attend, but I think they can reduce the price of the entry fee and add a transportation fee of 1,000 Yen for those 18 and over and 500 Yen for any age below for rides from train stations only. Bus tickets must be paid in advance and nonrefundable. The process for getting tickets seems a little difficult for me. Lastly, I would get a better selection of food vendors.
