Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. The most popular way to reach the racecourse is by train with Aintree Train Station close to the venue and trains running every 15 mins (more frequently during the Grand National Festival) into Liverpool City Centre.

Aintree Racecourse has parking for up to 1800 cars. On racedays other than the Grand National, parking is free. For the Grand National Festival, car parking is limited and must be purchased in advance. There are 2 main car parks:

Aintree can be reached by bus on services: 300, 310 and 345 both to and from Liverpool.
Aintree Racecourse can be easily reached via Merseyrail linking to Liverpool Central where connections can be made across the country. Alight at Aintree station, which is a 483 m (6 min) walk to the racecourse.
Aintree Racecourse in located in the Aintree neighbourhood of Liverpool and there is plenty to see and do within walking distance of the racecourse including eateries, bars, and shops.
As one of England’s most touristic cities, Liverpool has a wide range of high-end to affordable accommodation including boutique hotels, luxury chain hotels, hostels, and Airbnb’s. Of course, the inner-city suburbs tend to be most expensive, but you can stay there on a shoestring budget if you wish.
Aintree has a wide range of food and drink concessions on offer in all enclosures, including the Princess Royal Food Court and many fantastic bars and restaurants.
Food and drink cannot be brought onto the racecourse and will be confiscated by security staff upon arrival.

Customers are being advised not to bring a bag larger than a small handbag (30 cm x 10 cm x 20 cm) with them or they will have to leave it in a bag drop zone. Please be advised, there will be bag searches at entry gates at all racedays.
Toilet facilities are located throughout the racecourse in all enclosures.
