The Vienna Open, known for sponsorship reasons as the Erste Bank Open, is an annual men's tennis tournament which is part of the ATP 500 tour. First held in 1974 at Vienna's eponymous Stadthalle venue – where it is still held today – the competition has had 3 Austrian winners, most recently Dominic Thiem, in 2019. Other notable Vienna Open champions include Stan Smith, Ivan Lendl, Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.
As well as its illustrious list of past winners, the Vienna Open also boasts a reputation for fun off-court activities which promote various Austrian traditions and pastimes.
