The Cambridgeshire Meeting is a 3-day flat racing event for thoroughbred racehorses at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course.
Along with the Cesarewitch Trial Meeting, Sun Chariot Day, and Dubai Future Champions Festival – as well as the auctioning of promising young horses at Tattersalls – this meeting is part of Newmarket’s 4-week Gold Season, encompassing the autumn highlights when the area confirms its place as the hub of international horse racing.
The meeting culminates on Saturday with the spectacular Juddmonte Day and the famous bet364 Cambridgeshire Heritage Handicap; the first leg of the Autumn Double (with the second as The Cesarewitch at Dubai Future Champions Festival). The race – first ran in 1839 - is particularly thrilling as over 30 horses storm along the Rowley Mile and cross over the county border between Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
