The Brisbane Broncos are a professional rugby league team based in Brisbane, Queensland, which competes in the National Rugby League (NRL).
๐ Brisbane Broncos History
Initially part of the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) Premiership - a forerunner to the NRL - after its foundation in 1988, the Broncos were one of Queensland's first top-tier professional rugby league franchises. The Brisbane Broncos soon drew on the well of talent in their home state, and though they finished 7th in their inaugural season, they quickly built a reputation as one of the biggest rugby league clubs in the country, and became annual contenders for a finals place.
Indeed, in 1992 the Broncos won their first grand final. They would defend their title in 1993, and have gone on to be crowned premiers on 4 more occasions since.
The Broncos' traditional home colours are maroon and gold.
