Since reaching the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, Eddie Jones’ England side has had a hit-and-miss couple of years. Sandwiched in between disappointing Six Nations campaigns in 2021 and 2022, for example, were thrilling wins against Australia and South Africa during the 2021 autumn tests; every forward step seemed to bring with it 2 more in the opposite direction. Fans began to get nervy, and pundits began drafting their shortlists for Jones’ replacement.
Then, this summer, England went to Australia and came home with a 1-2 series win. It was an incredibly close-run thing - and the tourists were helped by injuries and suspensions aplenty in the Aussie camp - but for English fans, a win against the Wallabies is a win against the Wallabies, however it’s achieved. Those same fans, however, will be hoping that their side’s triumphant Summer Series isn’t just another instalment of the 1-step-forward, 2-steps-back saga they’ve come to know: the 2023 Rugby World Cup is just around the corner, after all. Whilst knowledge of Eddie Jones’ famously World Cup-centric planning will bring confidence to many, England still need to continue to prove themselves against the very best. This is where the 2022 Autumn Nations Series comes in!
In November, Twickenham will play host to Argentina, Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa, in one of the last international windows before the Rugby World Cup – and tickets for the first 2 fixtures are now on general sale! The first match, against Argentina, will take place on 6 November, with adult ticket prices starting from GBP £70 in Category 4 seating. After that tough test against Los Pumas, England will then have to rally for the visit of Japan, on 12 November. The Brave Blossoms are as skilful as they are entertaining, but England remain the only home nation not to have been defeated by them – yet! Adult ticket prices for the match against Japan start from £49, in Category 4 seating.
Whilst standalone match tickets are not yet available for the games against the All Blacks and the Springboks, official ticket-inclusive hospitality packages are already available to purchase. You can also add these fixtures to your Koobit interests, to be notified as soon as they go on general sale.
