With the 4 Grand Slams ticked-off and just 1 more WTA 1000 event left to contest, there are precious few major titles remaining in the 2022 women’s tennis calendar. Of course, there are several excellent tournaments left in the season, but few if any will see all of the world’s best players come together in 1 draw. The WTA Finals bucks that trend by design.
Every year, the 8 best women’s singles players and 8 best women’s doubles pairs of the season converge on the WTA Finals, a prestigious and highly-lucrative event reserved for the cream of the crop. After being held in Mexico last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the season-ending extravaganza will this year take place between 31 October – 7 November, at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, temporarily transforming Texas into the “24-stars state”. Iga Świątek and Ons Jabeur, world number 1 and 2 in the singles rankings respectively, are 2 such stars who have already qualified for the Finals, as are Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková, the top-2 doubles players in the world.
Single session tickets for the Finals are available to purchase in the Lower and Floor sections of the Dickies Arena, with prices starting from just USD $29 including fees, in the Lower tier. With more elite players still to qualify, and a fantastic arena atmosphere on offer for fans, it’s the perfect event to purchase tickets for – so why not see the 2022 season out in style?
