The world’s premier track and field competition brings together the greatest athletes for a series of dramatic one-day meetings in cities across the world culminating in a 2-day meet in early autumn. Athletes will gain points across 13 events before competing in an enthralling final, which this year, is in Eugene, Oregon in the United States. In 2023, it all kicks off in Doha, Qatar at Qatar Sports Club (Suheim bin Hamad) Stadium on 5 May!
After the Shanghai event was cancelled this year, the Diamond League calendar for 2023 includes:

There are many highlights on the Diamond League calendar, but one exciting change in 2023 includes the Golden Gala moving from Rome to Florence where tickets start at just EUR €16.50. Always one of the most popular events on the calendar, London has announced that over 33,000 tickets have already been sold. You can still secure your ticket from just GBP £23.
It will all come down to the final weekend in Eugene on 16-17 September when athletes will compete to become the ultimate champion in their discipline in a thrilling “winner takes all” show-down. Tickets have sold incredibly quickly for Eugene’s Prefontaine Classic, but there are still all-session tickets on sale starting from USD $60 as well as some tickets from secondary sellers for those who want to witness greatness in the impressive Hayward Field.

Of course, it is not just the venues that are inspiring, but the athletes themselves, and several superstars have already confirmed their participation in certain events. Doha will feature Kenyan legend Faith Kipyegon. The great Mondo Duplanits has been announced for Silesia and Monaco, while Femke Bol is confirmed for Florence and – along with Joshua Cheptegei – for Lausanne. That is just a small taste of what is to come across the summer.
