The Dallas Open only began in 2022, when the Texan city inherited the tournament license previously held by the New York Open, but the tournament has already made its mark on the men’s tennis scene: it is the only indoor ATP event staged in the USA, and in 2023 Wu Yibing became the first men’s singles champion from China when he defeated John Isner in the final. In late 2023 it was then announced that the Dallas Open would become an ATP 500 tier event – an upgrade on its current ATP 250 classification – as of the 2025 tournament, further raising its profile and making it an increasingly attractive event for some of the world’s best male tennis players.
Ahead of the Dallas Open’s next edition, which will take place between 3-11 February, fans may already have a taste of what future Dallas Open player rosters could look like, with the news that Reilly Opelka, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, and Frances Tiafoe have all committed to the 2024 event. Opelka has Dallas Open pedigree, having won the inaugural event in 2022, and the other 3 competitors are all currently ranked inside the ATP top-20. The all-American quartet will no doubt be joined by other stars of the men’s tour in Texas, with fans sure to be treated to some excellent hard-court head-to-heads.
Those wishing to head to the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in February can now reserve a single session ticket, with Baseline seating available at both the east and west ends of the court. Prices begin from USD $49, for a single session ticket in rows 7-14. Multi-session packages are also available, allowing fans to reserve the same seat across multiple tournament dates; prices start at $201, also in rows 7-14.
