Reilly Opelka is an American tennis player, known for being the joint-tallest player ever to appear on the men's ATP tour.
Born in Michigan in 1997, Opelka only began taking tennis seriously as a young teenager, but quickly established himself as a promising junior, winning the 2015 Wimbledon boy's singles title.
Opelka's ATP debut came the year after, at the US Men's Clay Court Championships, and he continued to make fast progress; the American reached the semifinals of the 2016 Atlanta Open, only his third tour-level event. He then made his Grand Slam debut in 2017, at the Australian Open, after battling through the qualifying rounds. By the end of the 2018 season, Opelka's stock had risen, and he ended the year ranked inside the ATP top-100.
At the 2019 New York Open, Opelka picked-up his first ATP title, and he finished the season ranked inside the top-40. Opelka's ranking then fluctuated slightly, before he continued his ascent during the disrupted 2021 season; in the June of that year he became the US number 1, and in September the American broke into the ATP top-20 for the first time. In 2022, Opelka picked-up 2 ATP singles titles, the first coming at the Dallas Open - the tournament's first edition - and the second at the US Men's Clay Court Championships, the tournament at which he had debuted on the tour, back in 2016.
Reilly Opelka's most famous shot is, perhaps unsurprisingly, his serve. The American's 6 foot 11 inch frame allows him to hit extremely fast serves, and he regularly records dozens of aces in a single match. Opelka's also hits his ground strokes with incredible pace, and he is also capable of coming to the net.

Great seats concessions cost to high
Hated traffic getting to Dallas open
Our Dallas Open 2024 experience was just Great! We loved the venue and the atmosphere - it was so easy to watch the matches and feel part of the tournament. Everyone was polite and tennis-minded!
THE ACTUAL EVENT WAS GREAT, HOWEVER THERE WAS ONE LARGE DRAWBACK THIS YEAR FOR US. THE SEATING AND SPACE ALLOWED FOR PEOPLE AND THEIR NEEDS WAS EXYTREMELY POOR THIS TIME. THE SEATS WERE OLD AND NOT COMFORTABLE AND IT APPEARS THE ALLOCATION OF SEATS WAS TO MUCH FOR THE SPACE PEOPLE NEEDED. LAST YEAR (SAME LOCATION) THE SEATING / SPACE WERE MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE.
1. Seats are extremely uncomfortable in the north and south stands. Most people were forced to stand up between games to give their behinds a break from the hard chairs. My sister and I brought seat cushion with us after the first day’s experience, and that helped somewhat.
2. During the first part of the week, the PA system was appalling. It was impossible to hear the winners’ courtside interviews after the matches, or any announcements. The music that was played in the breaks was so distorted that it was very unpleasant. This was somewhat rectified by the end of the week, but it should have been fixed before the end of the first day.
3. Ticketmaster is a terrible app to book tickets on. Every session has to be booked and paid for as a separate booking. There was no way to book several sessions and pay for them altogether.
4. The tennis was fantastic! Loved all the matches we saw.
Great experience
