Visiting Stoke-on-Trent
Stoke-on-Trent is a small industrial city in Central England with a proud aptitude for pottery. The craft has been practiced on an industrial scale in Stoke since the early 17th century thanks to its natural abundance of coal and clay. Between its availability of materials and pioneering scientific and industrial development, the city has continued to be a pottery pioneer to this very day. The city is filled with ceramics shops, factories, and museums from independent makers and global names like Royal Doulton and Wedgewood alike. Pottery aside, Stoke is a compelling city with a wealth of history and a lively atmosphere. From the Hanley Cultural Quarter to Trentham Estate, the city is guaranteed to keep your interest piqued.
Outstanding. First time of experiencing racing at Uttoxeter in this way. Food was high quality, as was the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were extremely professional and welcoming and made our day with their attentive approach and manner. First class all round.

LeMieux National Dressage Championships, Somerford Park
As usual, an excellent event. however, the Pavilion is too expensive and there should be a quicker way into the car park for 4-day pass holders.

LIV Golf: UK, JCB Golf and Country Club
Park & Ride worked well. Not enough water fountains. Hot day, long queues. Would help to have paper list of players and the course. Sunny day and hard to read on phone, also too small. Signage of the way to the various holes on the sign posts not enough. People going round with players carrying the scores often didn’t go near the crowd. Far too small to read. Otherwise a good day.
