Due to its rural location and the plentiful free parking on-site, Great Yarmouth Racecourse is best reached via car. There is Great Yarmouth Train Station about 1 mile from the course which has services into Norwich and, from there, further afield.

The racecourse is situated to the north of Great Yarmouth towards Caister. From the North and Midlands, it can be reached via the A47. The main approaches from the South are the A11 (joining the A47 South of Norwich) and the A12 via Colchester, Ipswich, and Lowestoft.
Parking is free and plentiful at the racecourse. Just follow the signs as you enter.
A designated area is reserved close to the admissions turnstiles for disabled parking. Early arrival is recommended, particularly on feature racedays, to secure parking in this location. To park in the designated disabled spaces, please advise the stewards if you are an official Blue Badge holder, and please display it prominently. Please be aware that although the car park is on flat land, it can be uneven in places, and consists of a combination of grass and shingle path.

Coach groups are welcome at the racecourse. On arrival, coaches will be directed to allocated coach parking.
Great Yarmouth railway station is approximately 2.6 km (31 min) from the racecourse and serves mainline services via Norwich. From the station, you can walk or take a bus to the racecourse.

There are 2 areas that are particularly family-friendly. The Family Tea Room has a superb adventure playground for the children to enjoy, along with a wide range of drinks, sandwiches, and cakes. The Fast Food Lawn offers multiple fast food options, to please even the fussiest eater!
There are a number of lively bars, where you can soak up the atmosphere of the day, and enjoy a wide selection of beverages. Most of the bars also include Plasma TVs for you to enjoy the action, and some also serve snacks. Take your pick from The Victory Bar, The Vice Admiral Bar, Buttery Bar, Grandstand & Paddock Bar 1 (Through the Porthole), and Grandstand & Paddock Bar 2.
Picnics are allowed to be brought into the racecourse in the General Enclosure, with the exception of alcohol.

Typically, gates open 2 hours before the first race. For feature and festival fixtures, gates may open earlier. Please use gates 1-5 at the main car park to access the racecourse.

Great Yarmouth Racecourse hosts a range of horse Racing fixtures from April to October when the UK flat racing season is taking place. One of the bigger fixtures at the course is the Eastern Festival.
Great Yarmouth Racecourse ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the Premier Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
