May Flat Racing 12 May 2027

The racecourse is situated to the north of Great Yarmouth towards Caister. From the North and Midlands, it can be reached via the A47. The main approaches from the South are the A11 (joining the A47 South of Norwich) and the A12 via Colchester, Ipswich, and Lowestoft.

Parking is free and plentiful at the racecourse. Just follow the signs as you enter.

A designated area is reserved close to the admissions turnstiles for disabled parking. Early arrival is recommended, particularly on feature racedays, to secure parking in this location. To park in the designated disabled spaces, please advise the stewards if you are an official Blue Badge holder, and please display it prominently. Please be aware that although the car park is on flat land, it can be uneven in places, and consists of a combination of grass and shingle path.

Bus is a popular way to reach the racecourse due to its connections with multiple public bus routes:

• 1C Clipper Cabriolet, 8 Coastal reds – Hawkins Avenue stop · a 350 m (4 min) walk
• 1 Coastal Clipper, 1A Coastal Clipper, 1C Clipper Cabriolet, 6, 7 Coastal reds, 8 Coastal reds, 271, 834, X1 Coastlink, X6 – Fremantle Road stop · a 400 m (5 min) walk

Coach groups are welcome at the racecourse. On arrival, coaches will be directed to allocated coach parking.

Great Yarmouth railway station is approximately 2.6 km (31 min) from the racecourse and serves mainline services via Norwich. From the station, you can walk or take a bus to the racecourse.

Helicopters may land (by prior arrangement with the management) at the racecourse. For aeroplanes, please contact Ludham Airfield, Don Sargant, on 07747 535135 or www.ludhamairfield.org.

Great Yarmouth Racecourse is situated just on the outskirts of the seaside town, so there is much to see and do within walking distance of the course including visiting the beach which is just 1.0 km (12 min) away!
