Visiting Cardiff
Met by the deep blue Atlantic Ocean on one side and the green hills of Brecon Beacon National Park on the other, Cardiff is the perfect city for the adventurous soul. Within a few kilometres from the city centre, you can be cycling along Wales’ sheep-sprinkled hills or kayaking along windy bay. However, the city itself will keep you busy exploring its many historic castles, including the 11th century Cardiff Castle and fairy-tale Castle Coch, as well as its enticing museums and shops. Head to St David’s Dewi Sant mall for the best high street shopping, or hunt for the hidden arcades snaking through the city where you’ll find Cardiff’s best alternative and independent shops.
