Enjoyed three wonderful days at Eastbourne with my husband who is 93 and thoroughly enjoys his tennis. The staff stewards were extremely helpful.
Such a friendly atmosphere.
I was able to park near the gate and pop out a few times re re park. However I have now learnt that I will be able to obtain a brown parking permit which I will apply for next year.
Is there priority booking for disabled people please. My husband is not in a wheelchair but finds stairs extremely difficult. I did manage to book online rows Band C which were ok. I hope I can do same next year.
Again excellent venue, great staff and tennis.
Very disappointed with the matches scheduled on centre court on Tuesday. If you pay for a top price ticket you expect to see the best players available
Also the ATP tour has ruined this event for us. It was much better as a WTA event only as the nens event now seems to take priority
Eastbourne is a lovely seaside town with a good variety of accommodation. The venue for tennis is excellent and not overcrowded. An outstanding event where 7 of the top 10 lady players in the world competed to be champion.
We plan to attend next year.
Lovely day! Marshals were very helpful
Just would have like to find a programme when we first walked in by the gate (5)
Well done to toilet staff who kept it rolling and kept them clean!!
I had a fabulous few days. The organisation and communication were excellent. The stewards were really helpful and friendly. Location good even though the seagulls did aerial displays for everyone. This was going to be a one off but I think I will be back.
The Eastbourne VIP tennis experience was very enjoyable. The ambiance of the venue was lovely and the attentive staff made you feel very special.
My friends and I had been upgraded to the full day package which was both lucky and most appreciated
The reason for the 3star rating being the disappointment with the food. If I had paid for the full package I would have expected the food to have been a lot better. It was very well presented but not much of it.
It was our first visit to the Eastbourne event and we were blown away by the superb atmosphere and high standard of all the facilities. The organisation and help at hand was first class , friendly and helpful. Seating inside the court and outside relax areas was very good and their was a real buzz about the event with open courts and practice zones making a natural interaction with the players possible .
Fabulous visit, from start to finish. We always get such a friendly welcome and all the on-site staff and volunteers are a pleasure to deal with. Access to food and drinks can be rather slow, so best to try and time it right - that is, not when a match has just finished and everyone has poured out of the stadium. Or, bring your own snacks etc. The atmosphere around the ground is just delightful - it’s also immaculately maintained - and an added bonus is that the sun is nearly always shining. Finally, if budget allows, I thoroughly recommend you treat yourself to a hospitality package for a day - a truly memorable experience!
Very enjoyable tennis , however, we have attended many tennis events in the past and never experienced the amount of LOUD chatting during the matches from spectators surrounding us. These particular spectators were not talking about tennis but medical problems, coffee mornings , holidays, friends problems etc.. Very annoying. Maybe the umpire could express his / her concerns before a match .
Excellent tournament;saw some tight matches and great players. Some stands very exposed to the sun; umbrellas useful.
Really difficult booking process. Getting far too corporate and exclusive
Good tennis. Poor behaviour of fans
Tennis was great. Ground staff great. Catering poor.
We had a great day
Nice atmosphere and well organised, some enjoyable games. Chairs very uncomfortable though, causing legs and back to ache. Please address this for next year
Organisation excellent been 4 times apart from covid when tickets were transferred to year after looking to book apartment ready for next year
Attended using my power wheelchair. Good experience. Although I had a wheelchair space number these were not used on the day and I was merely slotted into an empty space near a corner of the court where obviously the other wheelchair users did not want to be. Had trouble getting onto wooden flooring power wheelchair could not get up ramp neither forwards or in reverse using the bigger wheels eventually managed to get on ramp at an angle to enable one front wheel to go on ramp followed by rest of wheelchair. Long queues for personal assistant to buy beverages.
Excellent staff, helpful, polite and charming. But why the anodyne pop music forced on everyone, when we are talking, enjoying the sunshine and taking stock? Also expensive, very ordinary catering. Could be much improved. A good day out but small changes would make it exceptional.
Fantastic venue but ridiculous that you can’t buy a glass of wine! Also the toilet facilities were inadequate.
Lovely stadium in superb surroundings it inadequate signage. Difficult to find the way.
this was my first time to this event and I loved it...even the sun came out for the entire day!! My only comment is regarding the absolute lack of anywhere to sit outside the stadiums. You have so many wonderful food vendors, but absolutely no where to sit to enjoy it!! How odd...I've been to all of the other 4 majors plus the BNP Paribas in Palm Springs, and all of those venues offer wonderful seating options...how come??
I forgot to mention that the signage is atrocious, as there is literally no way to find your seat without multiple attempts and asking and even then, very hard to know which door to enter.
Very easy to get to via the metro, especially as a solo visitor.
Would definitely attend again my only concern is not being able to bring in water or access to a water fountain.
