Great event, well organized. People are friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Great experience for the whole family.
It is great to see this event return. It was great. Disappointing that the catering was not in the area downstairs in the clay court area. This provided much better atmosphere before entering Pat Rafter Arena.
Great event
I love going to the Brisbane international. The Pat rafter arena is great, such good viewing of the court/game.
My feedback would be that the outdoor area that used to be down where the players lounge and media areas are now was amazing and it’s not the same family feeling venue without this.
In the past you could really make an afternoon of it and sit on the bean bags with the kids and watch pre-match entertainment or games on the big screen, it used to create such a fun and enjoyable environment.
Now it feels just like it’s about the commercial value per SQM.
The restricted alcoholic menu is limiting for those that don’t drink what is on offer, obviously the sponsors play a key part here.
I understand that it must be a commercially sound event with good returns but don’t forget about the customer experience that goes further than the court, the venue setup and offerings are important too.
Had front row seats right behind the players towel box, which was great. Had a great 2 days of tennis.
Wonder tennis at a great venue. So happy to have this tournament back after the hiatus. Only thing that we would have different is the food and drinks options….not enough to them. The wait time for us to get a coffee when we arrived meant I missed almost the whole first set of Osakas match. Then my daughter missed almost a whole set getting some lunch. We usually take food so maybe it’s always that bad but I remember there being many more food options both down on the courts out the back and also 5ish years ago there being that lovely restaurant come bar outside over those courts. Either way we never waited that long before. Maybe next year get more help in. But tennis was fantastic and seeing Rafa on Tuesday night was the highlight & that’s really what it’s all about 🎾🎾🎾💚💖
Fab day
The tennis was fabulous but the venue was not good. Why weren't the spectators allowed to take water into the arena? Why are there no food or drink kiosks within the arena? The fan zone (and food and drink) were outside and the opposite side of the venue to where our seats were so it was impossible to pop out quickly. There were NO screens showing the tennis in the fan zone - or outside the seating area so if you went to the WC you missed tennis for at least 2 games. The camera placement meant that we could not easily leave our seats as we had to pass in front of the whole row - this surely is a fire risk/Health and Safety issue. On Tuesday the food/drink stalls ran out of wine completely and that was early evening.
On the plus side - the atmosphere was good inside the arena and the view from the seats was good. And it was easy to get to the venue by public transport (although the Davis Cup website gave the wrong Metro station to use).
The whole experience was amazing. It was my first time in the Accor Arena. I was so impressed with both the outside and the inside of the venue, unique and fancy. The atmosphere on the centre court was electric during the matches, the entrance of the players was also really cool.
The food was terrible! No salads at all. Only trash food at high prices. No seats to eat.
All the matches were awesome ! Only thing was the bad weather and ever who picked Cancun should have done their homework as it is rainy season and maybe a roof would have been considered . Other than that it was amazing!
As buying the tickets via the internet, it should be e-ticket, not to pick up the tickets at the stadium.
The tennis was good and it is a small stadium so nice and intimate
However the entrance is not good and unsafe, enter and eat under a flyover!!. Why oh why did I have to spend a euro buying a food card but still pay for drinks with my normal card. This makes no sense and is designed to make more money.
Good tournament but all seeds fell early. It was difficult to get decent tickets online
yet there were many empty seats during the round of 16 and quarter-finals.,
Tournament was great till the last days where I couldn't get seat for the finals. Overall was good. Do advice again for next year Tournament.
No atmosphere, even for the final the arena was max 1/2 full.
Good games.
Poor ventilation in the stadium. Very bad experience.
It was great to see Borg and McEnroe, definitely the highlight. Went on last day so only game that mattered was first doubles. Half the crowd emptied out after trophy was given. Then just watched a ‘fun’ doubles game. Perhaps picking last day of event not best choice, especially in a blow out World versus Europe. Didn’t get to see a singles game.
Enjoyed the Friday afternoon session - Ben Shelton is a rising star. 👍
Team Europe was undermanned for this Laver Cup.
thumbs up for the play
but thumbs down for the terrible line calls and the sexist clothing for the ball kids
why are the girls in short shorts but the boys are not!
really? in 2023??
