Seattle Seahawks History
The Seahawks entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1976, and from 1977–2001, were assigned to the AFC West. The franchise shifted conferences in 2002, becoming an NFC West side, and have since become the only franchise to play in both the NFC and AFC Championship game.
In 2005, the Seahawks made their first trip to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The franchise's second trip to the big game was more successful – a 43–8 blowout gave the Seahawks their first Super Bowl victory in 2013. Head Coach Pete Carroll guided Russell Wilson and co. back to the Super Bowl in 2014, but a heartbreaking interception late in the 4th quarter prevented the Hawks from winning back-to-back titles.
Sporting college navy, action green, and wolf grey uniforms, the Seahawks take inspiration from the colours of the Pacific Northwest. The team's logo is a seahawk (or osprey), in the style of a ceremonial Native American mask.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Seattle Seahawks, Allianz Arena
1. No beer at the pre-game festivities. Limited food. Long lines for food. No tables by food stands closest to stadium.
2. The crowd all funneled toward the stadium with nowhere to go. It felt unsafe. A couple crowd surges and the front would have been squished.
3. Inside the stadium— no food selection. Need more selection of food and drinks. Visit Lumen Field in Seattle for inspiration.
4. The “beer “. The lemon mixed beer is a stomach killer. Too much sugar, and tastes different with every pour. Offer one without the extra sugar in it and your international crowd will enjoy it.
