📜 Northamptonshire CCC History
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club was founded in 1878 and competes in the County Championship, One Day Cup, and Vitality Blast. In T20 matches, the club takes on the steel industry-inspired nickname Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
Although Northamptonshire is yet to win the County Championship, the club has finished as runners-up on 4 occasions. Shorter forms of the game have been the county's strength in recent seasons, with the Steelbacks earning victory in the T20 Blast in both 2013 and 2016. Allan Lamb, Monty Panesar, and Graeme Swann are among the most famous names to have played for the club.
