The Queen's Club Championships, currently known as the HSBC Championships, is an annual men's ATP 500 tennis tournament that takes place in London. Founded in 1881 at Stamford Bridge, the event moved to its current venue at The Queen's Club in 1890. The tournament included men's and women's competitions until it was discontinued in 1973, before returning several years later in 1977 as a men's only tournament. Since 2025, the men's event is held alongside the women's counterpart event, which takes place just before the men's.
Starting just 2 weeks before Wimbledon, Queen's Club is a popular grass court warm-up for the Grand Slam, but it is an excellent tournament in its own right – it has been voted ATP Tournament of the Year on many occasions, and Andy Roddick once described the courts as "arguably the best in the world." You can rest assured it is equally as beloved by fans, as well as players!
