Houston Texans History
As an expansion franchise, the Texans debuted in 2002 and are currently the youngest team in the NFL. The franchise replaced Houston's previous NFL franchise, the Houston Oilers, who played from 1960 to 1996. The Oilers moved to Nashville and are now known as the Tennessee Titans.
In their first decade of play, the Texans mostly struggled, however, the franchise have since won numerous division titles. The Texans remain one of 4 teams never to have played in the Super Bowl, but have built a loyal fan base and established their presence in one of the largest football markets in the United States.
