The Indianapolis Colts are a professional American football team based in Indianapolis. The Colts compete in the NFL's AFC South division, and play their home games at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts have competed as a member club of the NFL since their founding in Baltimore in 1953. While based in Baltimore, the Colts played in 2 Super Bowl games, losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III and defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V.
Since moving to Indianapolis in 1984, the Colts have appeared in the playoffs numerous times and won the AFC Championship twice. The franchise won their first Super Bowl as the Indianapolis Colts in 2007, defeating the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI. Famous former Colts players include Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne.
