WWE SmackDown, also known as Friday Night SmackDown! or simply SmackDown, is an American professional wrestling television program produced by WWE. It first appeared on TV in 1999 and was so popular that rival wrestling company WCW had to move their weekly show "Thunder" to another night, as it couldn't compete with SmackDown's staggering ratings. Since then, SmackDown has been a huge mainstream success with audiences all over the world.

WWE legend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson refers to SmackDown as "his show" because it is derived from one of his earliest catchphrases, "Lay the smack down". The show has also been home to many top WWE stars including Batista, The Undertaker, Big Show, and John Cena.

This edition of SmackDown is being held at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati. The superstar roster is expected to include Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, Randy Orton, Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley & Drew McIntyre.
