📜 Rhea Ripley History
Born in Adelaide, Australia, Rhea Ripley's wrestling career started in 2013 with Riot City Wrestling – an indie promotion where Ripley became a 2-time champion before she was 20 years old. After successful appearances for similar organizations, including New Horizon Pro Wrestling and Melbourne City Wrestling, Ripley signed a deal with WWE in 2017.
Following an appearance in the inaugural Mae Young Classic (a tournament for women from the indie circuit and WWE's developmental brand, NXT) Ripley became a permanent part of the original NXT UK roster, winning the inaugural NXT UK Women's Championship in 2018. Portraying a confident character capable of taking down any opponent with her rare blend of power and athleticism, Ripley joined the main NXT brand in 2019 and soon won the NXT Women's Championship. Ripley would go on to defend her title at WrestleMania, becoming the first NXT brand member to do so in the process.
By early 2021, Rhea Ripley's star power was undeniable, and she was promoted to WWE's main roster in March. At WrestleMania 37, less than a month after her first appearance on Raw, Ripley defeated Asuka to win the Raw Women's Championship. She has since won the Raw Women's Tag Team Championship, and played a key role in heel faction The Judgement Day, alongside Finn Bálor and Damian Priest.
