The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are a professional rugby league team, based in Sydney, New South Wales, which competes in the Australian National Rugby League (NRL).
📜 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks History
The club, then known as Cronulla-Caringbah, was founded in 1963. In 1967 they joined the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) Premiership - a forerunner to the present-day NRL - and became known as the "Sharks". In 1973 they made their debut appearance in the league finals, making it all the way to the grand final, where they were beaten by Manly-Warringah.
Despite appearing in the finals on 17 occasions between 1974 and 2015, it took until 2016 for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks to win their first NRL title. They have since appeared in the finals a further 4 times.
The Sharks' traditional home colours are sky blue, black, and white.
