Townsville

Townsville is represented by Townsville Fire, a Women’s National Basketball league team that plays its home games at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre. The city is also home to the Queensland Country Bank Stadium where many major national and international football and rugby tournaments are held annually.

Townsville is a small and rather quaint city located on the tropical coast of northern Queensland. Despite being home to less than 200,000 people, it is considered one of the major centres of industry in the region. While cool bars and boutiques line its centre, beaches and promenades line its coastline, providing the city with a perfect balance between cosmopolitan and care-free.
