Session 1 is a total after thought except the prices. The shuttle situation was stupid from lack of clarity to a web page not found to no management loading at end of day. People were literally pushing to get into a shuttle.
Over 100 degrees and vendors selling water from a dollar to 10.00. Volunteers cannot run an event. Take responsibility.
Enjoyed the tennis. Food vendors and tables were very crowded. Merchandise in shops was very expensive.
Organisation excellent been 4 times apart from covid when tickets were transferred to year after looking to book apartment ready for next year
Attended using my power wheelchair. Good experience. Although I had a wheelchair space number these were not used on the day and I was merely slotted into an empty space near a corner of the court where obviously the other wheelchair users did not want to be. Had trouble getting onto wooden flooring power wheelchair could not get up ramp neither forwards or in reverse using the bigger wheels eventually managed to get on ramp at an angle to enable one front wheel to go on ramp followed by rest of wheelchair. Long queues for personal assistant to buy beverages.
Excellent staff, helpful, polite and charming. But why the anodyne pop music forced on everyone, when we are talking, enjoying the sunshine and taking stock? Also expensive, very ordinary catering. Could be much improved. A good day out but small changes would make it exceptional.
I purchased 4 tickets from the United States on the koobit website when they became available for the 2023 Dubai Tennis Championships and it could not have been easier. Immediately after my purchase I received confirmation and electronic tickets came to my email to print for the tournament.
My wife and I took this trip primarily to watch Dubai open- semi finals and final. Memorable visit. All well organised and one could even get autographs from the finalists, not something you can get in other tournaments.
The Tennis Tournament was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and the tennis was exceptional. We had a wonderful time.
Overall this was great, if more players could come & sign autographs during non match hours this would motivate more kids
Thoroughly enjoyed our first tennis tournament experience, the whole set up at the Dubai duty free stadium is perfect, max 5000 in the grandstand court. For first timers, think about how hot it’s going to be for the afternoon games and make sure you cover up as there is no shade, obviously you can leave the grandstand at times. Food outlets are fabulous
Excellent tournament, the strongest participants, a pleasant atmosphere! But we had a nuance, we forgot our tickets to Russia, and could not get to the stadium, although we had copies and a receipt for buying tickets at the box office, but the organizers did not solve the problem!!! We had to buy new tickets!!!
Your parking arrangement is the worst I have ever seen. After years of coming here, I got box seats and forgot to get a parking pass. Having to drive out of our way and then take a shuttle so far is ridiculous. The city prevents street parking so they earn more money and I saw people getting ticketed. My husband will never come back. We will see tennis in an easier venue.
A bit hard to review this event, as one whole day of the two that we had tickets for was completely rained off! Even the first day was interrupted by rain-induced stoppages, but at least we saw 4 matches. It was good to see top-class tennis players close up, and to experience some exciting play. The Thursday sessions on the Centre Court never even started, and it was very cold, wet and dispiriting waiting around for any developments. We think it took the organisers too long to accept the inevitable, given that Centre Court was literally under water in the afternoon! We have been promised a refund, but even the info about this was not given clearly or without seeking help. Some more thought needs to be given to how spectators can be accommodated/informed/helped if it rains heavily and this is forecast well in advance. However, we'd probably give it another go, as potentially it could be a very worthwhile experience.
It is unfortunate. I bought my ticket through a company called VIAGOGO. I am sorry I did. I recommend that they be barred from being a third-party seller of tickets in future. I recommend other tennis fans not use them in future. I was hospitalized in America and thus had to cancel my visit to Barcelona. I tried to return the tickets and receive at least a partial refund. They refused. I tried to sell my ticket. They refused to help. VIAGOGO would do NOTHING for me. A very regrettable experience
Had 2 days at Dubai Duty free tennis championships. The mens semi finals and lucky enough to be at the mend final as well.
Venue was great with staff being very helpful. Seating gave a great view of the court and of course all the action. Food and drinks surrounding the stadium offer a wide range to suit everyone. I did really enjoy my experience at The Irish Village. Will certainly buy tickets the next time I visit Dubai at this time.
